You know I have never wanted a fuzz. Then someone puts up this video clip of the Blues S. and the tweak fuzz. What gives? This place is terrrrrible for gas.

Re: Tweak Fuzz...

I went through exactly the same thing a month ago:laugh2:. Ended up buying a Tonefactor Huckleberry fuzz for $100 used from TGP.

If you check out TGP or HCFX, you will find 4-5 new fuzz threads everyday. SDUGF is pretty low on fuzz pr0n, but somehow you get the GAS sooner or later.

GO FOR IT!!:beerchug:

Re: Tweak Fuzz...

Not a fan of the tweek fuzz, but i love FUZZ, and this forum is kinda low on Fuzz-Luzt for some reason !

I already have 4 fuzz pedals on my "to-buy-list" for when i'll be in the US in March !

Fuzz Rocks !

Re: Tweak Fuzz...

I like Fuzz and I LOVE Blues Saraceno's tone and I have one of his father's Germanium Boy pedals, so I thought the TF was gonna be awesome at a fraction of the price of the Afro Fuzz. Sadly, it didn't turn out like that. The pedal in and of itself was fine BY ITSELF. I had nothing but issues when I tried to use it along with other pedals. I tried and tried for a few weeks to find some combination that would work. It's long gone now. But if you use it like Blues does in the video, as a stand alone pedal, it'll be fine. Very useable for recording solos's I found.

you know, you're right.....fuzz info is definitely lacking in this forum. everyone talks about distortion and boost, or reverb/echo all the time, but you don't read a whole lot about fuzz. and it's ironic that just this morning I was looking through some websites that had several different brands and makes of high-quality fuzz pedals, and was listening to some soundbytes.

It's because overdrive RULZ!!!!!

;)

Sorry, I have nothing useful to add. I'm not a fan of fuzz. The TF was a :cool3: pedal, but it was not for me.

Re: Tweak Fuzz...

Yeah that fuzz you're gas'ing, i get plenty of that when i turn the gain way up on my ampeg reverberocket. It's alright for gain up to a point (like knob turned 5-8) but after that (8-10) it's all fuzz. Sounds similar to the soundclip midnight man posted, reminded me of it.

HELP, thats 2nd link does not work for me :(

The Mad Dog Fuzz is brand new, and it sounds good, even on the sample clips ! That is one of the fuzz units i want to look into next month !

Can you have too many fuzz-boxes in your collection ?

I don't think soo

Re: Tweak Fuzz...

Yeah I got myself a Tweak Fuzz too, mostly based on the Blues clip on the site because it sounded great! But like everyone else says, the pedal is a total loner. It doesn't get along well with anything, plus (and I tested this theory with different cables etc. etc.) mine is a big tone sucker despite it being true bypass!!!

Great sound on its own though.
