Twin Tube Classic with a Fender Deluxe?

I already have a Maxon OD9 and Boss OD3 on the pedal board. I need to add a harmonically rich distortion and was considering the twin tube, or maybe even a Digitech Hardwire SC2, OCD, or Keeley DS1. Anyone have any experience with adding distotion (not overdrive) to a clean Fender Deluxe Reverb?

Thanks.

i use a dr as much or more than anything. i have a ttc on my pedal board and i think it works great.

Jeremy,
Is your amp stock? Is it an original or a reissue?
Some people complain about a DR getting too bright. Do you agree or not?

I'm wondering because, in my amp search, I'm really considering a used DRRI.

With the stock speaker it was too bright. I put a Tone Tubby in there and it changed everything.

Jeremy, thanks for the recommendation!

my amp is an old one not a ri but, the other guitarist in my band has a drri.

i use a cannabis rex in mine but sloan uses something else in his. i like the rex better. a new speaker and a quick rebias does wonders for these amps and if its still too bright clipping the bright cap usually does the trick.

i dont think there is anything wrong with getting a used drri as long as the amp itself, open backed 20w 1x12 combo with no gain control, is a good fit. i like sloans alot. not as much as my old one but its had lots of massaging done to it.
