I'm intriqued by the SD Twin Tube Blues & Twin Tube Classic Pedals. Has anyone used these? Any recommendations/condemnations?

Thanks

Re: Twin Tube Pedals

i have both but honestly havent really messed around with the blue very much. the classic is great. the rhythm channel is tight and focused, the lead channel is big and fat with loads of gain. the rhythm channels sounds good with almost any guitar and pickup, the lead channel sounds best with something that doesnt have too much bottom end, either the bridge pup or brighter pups. it can sound good with a fat neck pup too but its gonna sound FAT

I've got 'em both, and they're excellent. If I had to choose, I'd go with the Classic. I play mostly Fender-style guitars (Strats & Teles) into Fender tube amps, and the Classic imparts a different, kind of Marshall-y tone. It's a great balance to the Fenderiness!!

Best pedal I own! Transforms a single channel (Fender style amp) into a 3 channel monster. Even sounds great in to my Marshall 2204.

Can you describe the differences between them? or maybe the similarities?

I think I prefer the "blues" sound but we all have different ideas of what that is. The reviews of the blues unit are sparse. There's lots of positive reviews of the classic, but how do you decide between them? Especially if you lean towards more towards R&B than R&R?

I play both a strat & an SG. My strat has some "tone enhancements" & I currently prefer it. But I'm creating a mod plan for my new SG. I'll soon have it refined more to my liking.

Thanks again.
