Re: Two amps.
What happened is I used to just crank the Deluxe Reverb, but I had a rhythm guitarist that played clean. It was an excellent combination of sounds, and I was happy just being the "lead guitarist" even though I always considered myself a rhythm player.
I basically have had to kick my bassist out of the band, and my rhythm guitarist has decided he wants to play bass instead of rhythm (cool with me, he's a good bassist too). So now I'm the only guitarist and I have to be a little more versatile.
I own the PA and enough mics that I could have a mic on each amp, so I guess I won't piss off the sound man because I am the sound man.
I'm kind of excited about being in a band with a good bassist, because I like a lot of bass guitar in my music, and bass lines that are a little more complicated than my previous bassist could understand/play. I sometimes write songs around bass lines (I play bass as well, I gig with my dad with bass) and this way it'll be easier to write songs like that and have us play them.
I would like to have an *acoustic* guitar as a rhythm, that would be real nice.
