Two new (used) Teles for your viewing pleasure!

The Caucasian gentleman is a '94 Fender squier series tele that I am in love with. Apparently the "Squier Series" hasn't much to do with the squier brand. It's made in Mexico with Asian electronics and a US neck and body. I thought about swaping out the pups but I'm honestly happy with how it sounds. I offered some dude $50 for it because it was filthy when I got it and in desperate need for a setup. I never got around to paying him...

The other fella is a Douglas Telegib with a basswood body and crazy pretty burl top, with a LP style arch top. My buddy gave me some old Gibby 490's which I think look and sound amazing. I got it used at GC for $80. I cannot believe how great this cheapo looks plays and sounds now.

Enjoy!

Re: Two new (used) Teles for your viewing pleasure!

I used to have that exact same Squier Series Tele. Same colour, same year. Be aware that any standard pickguard will not fit that guitar as the control plate is actually larger than a standard control plate (so a replacement guard will not fit around the control plate).

Lol, I could have used that tip a few months ago. It used to have a black pickguard, I used a soldering iron to trim down those edges to make the aftermarket pickguard fit.
