Two SDs I picked up used look different.

The bases are different, as are the logos. Is this just explained by different ages?
Also, it looks like the base is the wrong way around on the 59 neck?

Re: Two SDs I picked up used look different.

Both pickups are fine.

The TB-5 is a trembucker and uses a different baseplate due to having longer bobbins.

The 59's baseplate orientation is not an issue. It is very common to see the orientation of the stamped logo "flipped". It's fine.

I can confirm that the top logos are legitimate, as well. The SD's I have from 2013-up have the smaller/chubbier font, while the ones I have from the 2011-12 range have the taller/slimmer characters. Matches what you have here exactly.

That’s awesome, thanks. The neck pickup base/ lead positioning fits better with the channel through the body, so that’s cool.

How do the TB base plates match up to the base plates on the EVH Wolfgang pickups in the striped series, I wonder?
