I'm glad to post something again after a while. Here are 2 different tones I was playing around with my gear:

Anderson Strat + Tube Factor + Engl Screamer:

Fender Tele + Banzai Fireball + Engl Screamer:

Which one do you like better?

thanks

Cool tracks! :headbang:

The Strat+H&K sound was much more pleasing to my ears but not as ballsy as the Tele+Banzai. So I preferred the second one, but I'd love to hear a clip with the Tele+Tubefactor combination. :D

You mean you preferred the first one? (Strat + TF)

I'll reverse the guitars and rerecord some samples. I am curious as well.

thanks.

Heh loved them both...lots of bite in that amp...sounds like you have played the speaker some more now???

Yeah, the speaker seems to respond better. Also, after it came back from the amp tech. there was a Groove Tubes 12ax7 in there for some reason so I put back the original JJ. Also, I am miking the amp at the edge of the cone at an angle (less harsh).

The Jensen speaker really does have more bass and slightly "fenderizes" the amp.

thanks.

Yep! Well! Strat ruled the day man! Thinner tone than the Tele but sounds better for blues. I prefer thin rather than fat for blues but thick and ballsy for jazz. And this is how it was this day, Sept. 11, 2006. I am Osensei signing out!

Yep! Some awsome chops you've got Marin... :D

I liked the Tele - Banzai Fireball better. I felt that the first one was too "restriced" tonewise, it didn't breathe like I wanted to do.

So the Tele for me :)
