Tyring to find a

Hollow body guitar. I would like to have something that isnt as big as a es335 semi hollow body. Is it possible to find something like that nowadays? Most of all the searches I have done in the past few days have lead me to semi hollow Epiphone Wildkat and a few Ibanez semi hollows.

I cant seem to find anything hollow body.

Any help? Im looking for a price range of $600 tops.

Re: Tyring to find a

The Wildkat is pretty nice, not my style but still nice. I know Ibanez has some some cool stuff, so does Schecter (C/SH I believe is the start of the model number.)

Re: Tyring to find a

I'd like to vouch for the Ibanez's quality... my AS83 (Semi-Hollow... but close) has become my #1 Go-to axe.

Re: Tyring to find a

Voila! The Epiphone ES 339...smaller than the 335... and you have some extra cash for a pedal or something!

As long as the OP wants a semi and not full hollowbody, a 339 is a great choice. They come with HB's or P-90's.

While I am grateful for the above mentions and I am checking them out I still would love to stick with a Full Hollow body. But thru my searches the past week and now thru some referrals here I can see I think Im asking for something that doesnt exist in a smaller body full hollow guitar. I had a gibson es335(no binding version) but sold it off years ago. Cant afford that price range these days and never really found that full low end growl ya get from a full hollow in my previous es335.
Is the 339 similar to the 335?

If you're looking for a full hollow, you're gonna have to go into larger body sizes as far as i can tell. Most smaller guitars have a tone block. Epiphone makes a Casino Coupe that's the size of a 339 worth checking out. The Wildkat is also a great choice.

During my late night search last night I did come across that Casino Coupe & was surprised to see it was a full hollow body. I thought I found what I was looking for till I found out that the smaller size doesnt give you that full hollow body sound as you have stated. So it was back to square one again.
Im thinking Gretsch but would like to get some tones of George Thorogood and some others that I just cant think of right at this moment. I would like to have it versatile. I know the Gretsch models give that Twang so not sure what would be a good model for versatility in the $400 $600 range. I was checking the electromatics out but still on the fence as I couldnt find anything in double cutaway.

I think if the Wildkat I had came with a regular Humbucker in the bridge instead of a P90 then I would have loved the guitar...P90s in the bridge just don't do it for me.
Oh yea I sorta dig that P90 as well with a full hollow. Ive always dug George Thorogoods tone but still searching for that versatile full hollow so I can vary it.
