what sort of cables should be used when connecting a head to a spkr cab?
your not supposed to use a guitar chord right?

You can make 'em for practically nothing out of a piece of heavy lamp cord and the ends off an old guitar cord. I've never bought a speaker cable in my life and most likely never will.

Always use a speaker cable. I recommend Planet Waves or Monster Cable... it does make a difference.

And always keep a spare one ( or 2, or 3 ) on hand. No fun when your speaker cable goes bad. Also, just a little tip > I put a piece of colored tape ( I use RED Electrical tape ) around the outside of the plug on my spkr. cables, that way I can tell them from a guitar cable at a glance.
