This guy goes to a lot of trouble to repair an Epiphone Les Paul with a busted-off headstock. Check it out (the first 40 seconds are an intro).
I didn't make a video, but did essentially the same thing on a Gibson a few months back.
I didn't use a knife to do the carving though. I prefer a chisel.
I just about laughed my ass off when I saw that guy freehand bandsawing the veneer off the headstock :laughing:
I may be an idiot, but even if the price is the same, I'll always choose to give my money to an actual human being to get it fixed rather than getting a new(used) one.
