Re: Uneven spacing in the bridge

Loosen the strings and push the saddles together lol.

Re: Uneven spacing in the bridge

yup, just push em closer from the outside of the two e strings

Re: Uneven spacing in the bridge

Are those the stock saddles? Are there grooves in the bridge to keep the saddles straight?

Re: Uneven spacing in the bridge

Definitely an issue with the saddles being crooked, as others have said before me. And I hate to he nitpicky, but a lot of people lose their heads if you number the strings incorrectly, the high e is #1. I think the reason behind that is most likely because any added strings are on the bass side. I don't particularly care what you call them as long as we understand what you are saying.

Also, as a way to save money, learn how to change strings. Here's a good video on the subject:
This guy says clip the string before winding, but what you can do if you don't have wire cutters is wind the string as normal, but once you are done you can wiggle the ~6 inches of excess string until it breaks off.

Re: Uneven spacing in the bridge

I managed to fix it, helping with the screws behind the bridge, THANKS

Great.

Did you adjusted the screws? Those are for setting the intonation so it'll play in tune across the neck. They probably set it up in shop, which is why saddles were left crooked.

Hook it in tuner and check it's in tune. Then check it plays in tune on 12th fret and possibly elsewhere in the neck. If it doesn't adjust the screws accordingly.

Re: Uneven spacing in the bridge

its possible one or more of those screws are a bit bent or the threads on the saddle arent square, ive seen both issues before on cheaper hardware

Re: Uneven spacing in the bridge

Saddles like that can be pushed around a bit in order to align them the way you like.

FYI, that's between the 4th and 5th strings. The strings are counted from high to low.
