What is your opinion of the best uni-vibe sound. So far I am hearing the Fulltone Deja vibe or the roger mayer voodoo vibe . What is your opinion.

I've tryed alot of Univibe clones, and I ended up with the Fulltone Mini Deja Vibe...This is a great pedal and just nails the Hendrix/Trower.Gilmour tones..I only payed $200 for mine and I Love this pedal..My 69 pedal arrived today, but I'm at work so it won't be until tomorrow that I get to try it out..The Fulltone stuff is great.

Very cool,I think George lynch uses the mini deja vibe and the 69 pedal also. He has pictures of them on his web site.

The best two, IMO, are the Fulltone and Sweet Sound units. I had both a Deja (3 actually) and a Mojo Vibe, and I preferred the Fulltone pedals.

Re: uni-vibe

I've got an older Fulltone Deja Vibe (not the mini... a big one from '96) and I love it! I got it off of craigslist for $140!! The tone is unbelievable.... so earthy! The only limitation is there is no foot contoller for the speed... but they do sell the DejaVibe2 which looks like a Wah on steroids with the footcontroller built in to the pedal. The Sweet Sound Mojo Vibe is just as tiny as the Fulltone Mini Deja Vibe but it has a 1/4" jack to hook an external foot controller to... that's pretty cool. Whichever you end up with make sure it's True Bypass... like wahs... Univibes color the **** out of your tone when off (if not TB).

Good Luck!

If you don't want to pay too much, the Danelectro CHicken Salad pedal is a real cool sounding device - I've gotten some great Trower sounds from it. It won't handle a lot of abuse, but for the money it's a nice sounding pedal.

Just wanted to add this: I jammed with some folks last weekend and we did "Blue on Black" - the Chicken Salad pedal sounded incredible! It has a subtle overdrive/feedback/edge to it that adds to it's coolness.
