Talk about a RARE GUITAR!!!
This is a 1984 G&L Interceptor. The neck is a G&L Interceptor also, just not the same year. The body and neck were not assembled at the G&L factory.
Its believed that this guitar was assembled by a former G&L employee, from leftover G&L parts gathered at the G&L factory.
The body is an original 1984 G&L Interceptor. it has a very rare PAT PEND G&L dual fulcrum bridge and PAT PEND HG-2R pickups! Factory date stamp is in the neck pocket.
The neck is a G&L Interceptor neck. Probably a 1986or 87 (no date stamp) It had G&L Schaller non locking tuners (included) I installed G&L locking tuners. Frets are in great shape! Truss rod functions perfectly!!
This guitar, overall, is in great condition. Only 8 lbs! There is some nitro checking. No cracks, breaks or repairs. The hard case included is an aftermarket case, not G&L.
The controls are a 3 way blade, master volume, bass, treble. A very nice setup to dial in the tone you desire. This guitar has a fresh setup with 10s. It plays and sounds incredible!
