Univibe anyone?

So I'm really digging my new Genz Benz el Diablo 60 combo. This thing rocks and just oozes tone. And I'm also really digging the simplicity of guitar => amp => that's it! Prior to the el Diablo I used a Boss ME-50 into a Fender SS amp. The ME-50 was for everything from gain to volume control to a really cool univibe effect that I realize I used quite often. So I'm considering buying a dedicated univibe pedal but wonder which one. And would an analog pedal really be that much better than the digital one I already have? There seem to be a ton of univibe options out there from relatively cheap to outrageously expensive. Anyone have any favorites or ones to steer clear from? Thanks.

Re: Univibe anyone?

Fulltone Deja-vibe II is the best sounding on IMO, you can find one used for under $300. Well worth the $$$$$

Re: Univibe anyone?

I sold my Fulltone Mini Deja Vibe to Midnite Man....Great pedal and probably the best out there today in a Univibe clone.

Re: Univibe anyone?

Well one of my mates had both Fulltones...he sold them both and bought that Vibe, along with the Gypsy Fuzz.
Has a Chicago Iron Octavia as well....and we are like huge Hendrix fans...so:D

Re: Univibe anyone?

The Fulltone is nice and has become sort of the new standard, the VooDoo Labs Micro Vobe is not bad at all, the Lovepedal Magic Boy is a p[ersonal fav and with only one knob easy as hell to use...

Re: Univibe anyone?

I think it's a matter of deciding on how much you're willing to spend ... the MicroVibe is a good cheap one, the Magicboy isn't much more

Prescription makes a good vibe, the Sweet Sound Mojo Vibe is very popular with pro players, and he is going to remake what a lot of folks consider the best current type of Vibe, the Ultra Vibe II.

I upgraded from a MicroVibe when I bought STRATDELUVER97's Deja Vibe. The MicroVibe is an okay pedal and was great to have on the board rather than have nothing. The Deja Vibe, on the other hand, gives me the more classic vibe that I really want....but I gotta admit that after hearing those Mega Vibe clips I'm pretty impressed. But I'm also impressed with the skill level of the guitarist who did the clips, 'cause he's definitely got the Hendrix mojo.

Re: Univibe anyone?

I've just got on of the "Carl's Custom Guitar's" Univibe/Phase 90 clones that he sells on eBay for about $99. Sounds nice, better than the Voodoo Lab Microvibe. Does a weird cyclical clunk under hi-gain which is very non-digital !. I'm just a bit pi**ed that he charged me $25 postage to the UK when it cost him $8.50, hmm !.
