Unknown pickup

About 2001 I bought a Les Paul Studio and asked for the dealer to replace pick ups with the Seymour Duncan’s that would best replicate Jimmy Page tone. He installed dual hum bucking pick ups. I lost my paperwork and took out the pick ups to know Model of pick ups and what was printed on bottom was “patent applied for”

Anybody know what they would be?14344BEF-C342-4858-9340-B1438105090B.jpg14344BEF-C342-4858-9340-B1438105090B.jpg

Re: Unknown pickup

They're definitely not Duncans. Those are probably Gibson '57 Classics, or they might be Burstbuckers. I can't remember for sure if BBs have those stickers, but '57s definitely do.

Edit: Probably older '57 Classics. Newer '57s and Burstbuckers have an additional white sticker on the bottom that lists the model number of the pickup, winder initial, and manufacture date.

Re: Unknown pickup

Definity looks like '57 Classics to me.

Personally, they are my favorite of the OEM Gibson humbuckers.

Re: Unknown pickup

Not Duncans, so check your paperwork. Make sure you didn't pay for Duncans. As far as which model, you'd have to specify which Page tone. He had a ton of them. A good place to start is the Whole Lotta Humbuckers.

Agree. I bought an Epi LP Tribute plus with the full intention of swapping pups.. But, when I play it, I cant find fault..
