Tried a JB on the neck position and I wish it have a little more high frequencies.
Going to try a magnet swap but want to stay with A5.

So, which magnet will give me more high in a JB? UOA5 or RCA5?
Thanks!

neither of those! both of those are warmer mags try a ceramic or 8. YOu can also keep her stock and raise the screw poles and flip the pup around 180' so the screws are closer to the bridge

A RC A5 will smooth out the high end a little, an UOA5 will take off some high and and reduce output slightly. For me, both of those are good things in the bridge slot, but is that what you want? At 16K, JB's not really a neck PU; most are half that resisitance.

The stock JB is the "best" as a neck humbucker...any other magnet will make it warmer sounding, which is not what you want when putting a bridge pickup in the neck.

But honestly there are better neck pickups...

IF you are goin to use the JB in the neck wire it in parallel that sounds like a huge single coil:approve:
