Update on the chorus...and a lowgain drive

Here is the chorus again, we added a volume pot to it, you can now go under 1 to 1 or above unity gain, and at the same same crank the bbd chip, for an either cleaner effect or a more dirty one, there is a few more things that needs to be done, but the sound we where after is there now, it is made like old chorus effects in the 70's and very early 80's, before the compander thingy was stuck in everything to eleminate noise, but it also took away some of the fatness and made the effects more "sterile" dull.
We cooked up something to remove most of the noise without sacrificing the sound, here is a picture of the prototype.

And here is a small clip, like said above, do not mind the pops, this is a very crude setup pedal, only made to hear if the effect was any good.

And I am still working on that lowgain overdrive pedal I have wanted to make for a very long time, this one has a normal mode which has very little gain, you can switch between normal and alittle more with a toggle, I went for that crisp yet fat tone I want for it, and I want it to sing...alot!
I think that I am finally getting there now.
Here is the pedal.

And here is the clip.
After about 2min I switch to the higher gain setting.

Used my HW-1 strat as usual:) Two SSL-1's singles, and the SSL-2b with the steelbar underneath the poles.
Well just to share it with you guys, nothing spammy or other mean intentions
with this, mostly because I feel at ease here, and hopefully because it would intrest one or two people here??
Normally we never give away much info on what we are doing at CM.
It is just because this is one of my fave places on the net:)

Honestly, I'm not a chorus type person, but after hearing these clips and the others you have posted of this pedal so far, make me want one badly.

Very lush and organic sounding, yet defined and not mushy.

Keep us posted on any development with this pedal. I really want to get one of these once released.

I agree with Fresno Bob. This is one of the only (maybe the only) Chorus that makes me want a chorus, and would make me use one. Any word on pricing?

Re: Update on the chorus...and a lowgain drive

Niels,
yes, that's a VERY good sounding chorus

I had one of the old CE-1's, but alas, sold it

I haven't heard the Boss CE-20 or Voodoo Lab Analog Chorus, but I feel that a decent chorus that gets the CE-1 tones, and something similar to a Leslie in a pedal would go over very well.

If it could have true bypass, and stereo, well ... even better.

Re: Update on the chorus...and a lowgain drive

Thanks guys...erm well we are not quite done with it yet;)
But I will let you know when it hits production, as for TB...that is never going to happend Curly, we dislike it at best, sorry:D it will be mono, or it will be filled with chips everywhere and that will diminish battery life drastic, that is why we used the oldstyle setup, no compander that cannot operate under 8.5 volts and uses up power very fast.
Heh yeah I am no big chorus fan either, but this one nailed it the very first time...a vey rare thing here, as we are always looking to improve on ourselves, but this one had the sound from the first moment.
No love for me drive eh??;)
