It's the best digital reverb pedal I've ever used. Period.

I've been using mine alot lately because there's not much to do up here at night with 42" of snow on the ground!

Been using mine to split the signal of my guitar into two old Fender Deluxe amps.

And I've been comparing the Verbzilla to the spring reverb on my blackface Deluxe Reverbs and dialing in a tone on the Verbzilla that is almost identical.

It's much nicer than my Boss RV-3...much less tanky, less artificial and less metallic.

I have found a setting that pretty much nails the spring reverb of my old Deluxe Reverbs...biggest diff would be a faster bloom and initial attack with the DR's reverb...it comes on in a bigger burst or initial rush of reverb when I listen closely and very critically when going back and forth and comparing the two.

But the Verbzilla is fabulous and it's the first reverb/delay pedal I've owned that I can just relax with and not feel like I'm missing something tone wise compared to tube driven spring reverb.

Been playing alot of lap steel lately, BTW. Got out my '36 Rickenbacher bakelite lap steel with the 1 1/2" horseshoe pickup and wailing through my Verbzilla and two 50's tweed Deluxes in stereo.

Nice!

Lew

Re: UPdate on the Line Six Verbzilla...

I don't know how they've done it, but they've finally solved the problem of the metallic ping associated with digital.

Glad to hear it's worked good enough for you to consider it a lifetime keeper. And you don't have to worry about plugging into a verb-less amp, like your tweeds or Matchless SC-30.

Exactly! It's the first one I've heard that has a warm and natural tone...analog warmth in a digital design. Lew

Re: UPdate on the Line Six Verbzilla...

I concur with Lew's findings.:D (We still need this unit A/B'ed with a EH Holy grail to set the record straight) I'm confident the Zilla blows it out of the water! But who know until it happens? I've used the Boss RV-3, Alesis Nano verb and various other digital delays,Even a Premier 90 outboard tube unit. None floated my boat like the Verbzilla. I hate any verb unit that makes me sound like I'm playing inside a empty oil tanker. The Zilla is very organic.Maybe not as 3D as your onboard Fender style circuit, But it's close enough for my ears.:)

Re: UPdate on the Line Six Verbzilla...

I love my Verbzilla and always tell people who ask about reverb pedals to listen to one and see if it suits their needs.
I used to keep mine in the effects loop of my Peavey Classic 30 until I blew it up. (The amp, not the pedal).

Re: UPdate on the Line Six Verbzilla...

I've been eyeballing these Lew, thanks for the update!

Hello...Evan.....Mr. Duncan....development team...............

SFX-04 = Reverb pedal
SFX-05 = Delay pedal

Or a single pedal that can do either PLEASE !!!! :D

Re: UPdate on the Line Six Verbzilla...

It's on my list, especially since I returned that Marshall reverb pedal and got the little Vox amp instead. Thanks for the review Lew, you poor poor man.....snowed in and nothing to do.
