This page shows how to use a Superswitch E+ to do this:

position 1: bridge pickup
position 2: bridge pickup split + middle
position 3: bridge + neck
position 4: midlle + neck split
position 5: neck

...but with the additional push/pull switch you split everything so it's closer to a Strat:

position 1: bridge pickup split
position 2: bridge pickup split + middle
position 3: bridge split + neck split
position 4: midlle + neck split
position 5: neck split

The last piece of the puzzle is:

*** How do you add the phase switch to select the coil on the rear pickup?***

IMO, the screw coil will yield better quack with the middle pickup, but the slug coil sounds better by itself.
Wiring gurus? Artie? :) Anybody who knows how to do this has my utmost respect as a true GURU. :notworthy Please and thank you!

Ok, I think if I take the hot and ground from the rear pickup to a phase switch on the right like this:

http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/wiring-diagrams/schematics.php?schematic=phase_switch_coil_split_hb

...and then take the hot from the phase switch and rout it to lugs 8 & 9 on the pickup selector switch here:

with the remaining ground wire from the phase switch going to ground on a pot....I should be able to choose the coil on the bridge pickup, correct?

G'day...

I've done a similar mod on my Godin Freeway-SA HSH, but I found I could only get noise cancellation with the middle pickup using the slug coils on either of the split humbuckers. I wanted to use the adjustable coils combined with the middle, but it was just too noisy.

Only one of the two coils will give you a full in-phase sound with the single-coil middle pickup. You probably found that the polarity of your middle pickup determined which coil you could combine it with noiselessly.

I have ordered a pair of Seymour Duncan humbuckers (TB-4 & SH-2) and I have to decide whether to use the neck or middle (RW/RP) version of the STK-S4 for the middle one depending on whether I want to combine it (also split) with the slug or adjustable coils on the bridge/neck.

You posted a few months back, so let me know how you got on with your mods. I've also ordeed a four-pole superswitch to play with.

Cheers,

Alex.
