Updates on pedalboard (big pics)

Here are updates on my pedal board. I know, it's big. Someday I will post the full fig. It's for a poor man's stereo fender and marshall rig. Kind of a funky Eric Johnson set up. I have fun with it, that's what really matters. I just threw some pedals on it for show.

pedals are for showing what it looks like. I don't use some of them much. will be adding velcro and power supply next, the finishing touches.

HOLY WOW! U can sleep in that thing after the show!

Most of those pedals aren't true bypass. Do u use a looper, so u don't have too much signal loss?

Re: Updates on pedalboard (big pics)

Actually looks like you need some "buffering" with the amount of pedals on your board..You must be losing some highs and some signal...Right?

Re: Updates on pedalboard (big pics)

Wow. That thing is huuuuuge! It dwarfs my 24x12 board. :scared:

Yeah, but I'd be more concerned with losing the "tone" of my amp. I guess when I used the phrase "signal loss" I really meant: the amps integrity. I'd use a looper pedal so I can completely turn off (ignore) parts of the board.

I plan on getting one of these soon. That way, I can completely bypass my board (except for my buffer and volume pedal) when not in use.

Holy Moly, I got a ruptured disk just looking at the thing! It's bigger than most stages I've played on.... okay all kidding aside, great job!

Re: Updates on pedalboard (big pics)

As far as the tone and signal loss, the first thing I plug into is a VHT Valvulator it sets behind tuner. It converts from high Z to Low Z. With that i found that i could use many pedals (obviously) without signal/tone/high loss.

Re: Updates on pedalboard (big pics)

Wow, very big! You might want to make a smaller lighter version for smaller stages. I like the DL4, though I always use mine in non-true bypass mode.

I am toying with the idea of using a looper for some of the pedals. I havn't got it inmy head how I want to organize things yet. I like those loopers in the link above.

I have kind of figured that being the first one i make i can get a few of my ideas worked out. I do plan on making another one, smaller, and then maybe road cases for each. I like having a board that i can have all my pedals on to mix and match pedals and "tone search".

Jeezus man, i though I had an overkill pedal rig... where's the photon torpedoes and nagivation control on that thing? :haha:

Thats pretty cool that you're building it yourself! Smart move with the valvulator.
