Urgent Question About Custom Made Pickups

Do pickups from the custom shop made for someone according to their specs have the SD logo on the baseplate?

The reason I ask is because I bought a humbucker off ebay that is custom made, but it has a plain baseplate. The baseplate is not signed and it doesn't have a sticker. The pickup has no logo on the coils, so really, it could be anything. It does have the CS box with all the correct specs though. I trust the seller but I thought I'd better check...

I have never seen a SD pickup that didn't have some sort of identifying markings on it.

Never used the Custom Shop before, but as Robert said, Never seen an unmarked one so far ;)

my antiquity cs pups all have a baseplate but i have a single coil p bass quarter pound stack that no marks at all on it, so i suppose that it is possible. do you have a meter? if so check to see if the dc resistance of the pup matches that on the box. it might not be exact but if its pretty close then youre probably ok

I don't have any way of measuring the resistance today but I'll do it tomorrow. I've also sent the seller an email asking whether it is possible that he sent me the wrong pup in the right box... ya never know.

I just received a Custom Shop set of pick-ups and the baseplate had no markings other than the sticker to identify them. Other than that there is no way to tell they are SD pickups.

I think you are probably ok.

Same here. Just a sticker.
