Urgently needed: Anyone with experience of Charvel necks and/or broken headstocks

Basically I'm going very 80's despite never having lived in the decade and hot-rodding a strat-copy. Already got some SD pups and a custom pickguard, but saw this on the 'bay and it looks like a good deal, but I've personally never played a Charvel neck so don't know how it feels and I'm very wary of the broken headstock. Advice needed and greatly appreciated.

Also, he's selling the whole guitar in parts, which includes the floyd and top nut, but the pics of the neck have a standard plastic nut?

INHO that looks like a bodge. I'm only going by the description and the photos but I wouldn't trust that fix. You could get it for that price and have a look at it and fill the screw holes see if it's okay. It might be but I wouldn't go for it myself.
Charvel necks of this era had the locking mechanism behind the plastic nut so that is correct.
I have the same neck from my old one of those they are good thin necks from the era.

I could be wrong now but isn't the Charvel neck route different from the Fender neck route?

I wouldn't even be all that sure that the neck would fit the body that you have in the first place...

I wouldn't trust that repair to hold up in a strong breeze, much less under 150lbs of string tension.
