USA Custom Guitars

Sordid Tales

So I'm thinking that for my next tele, I'm going to build my own version of Fender's Road Worn, but with my own style. I've chose USACG because of their great customer service, and I've never had a problem with them before.

Now here's my question. They say they offer finishing, but what finish is used? Polyurethane, polyester, nitrocellulose?

Anyone have any answers?

Re: USA Custom Guitars

I would assume most likely poly, primarily because spraying straight nitro in a large scale industrial setting is (becoming) illegal in most states and otherwise you have to add stuff in which is what everyone rags on Gibson about ;)

Re: USA Custom Guitars

Call and ask Tommy...they used to farm out their finish work to a few different places over the years but recently it's gotten switched to actually being done in house. It might very well br nitro...

Re: USA Custom Guitars

If you just order, it is poly.

Supposedly, if you call them you can get nitro.
