USA Jackson Help

This is my buddy's old backup guitar he bought back in '91 or '92. He's asked me to sell it for him but I know nothing about it and neither does he (he's not a gearhead at all.)

Anyway can anyone tell me exactly what he's got here, and what it's worth? It's made in the USA, says San Dimas on the neckplate. All original including the case and in almost new condition except for a good sized chip in the maple point of the headstock. I've done some looking around on the web but can't really nail down the model.

I'd hafta see the back of it, but with the plethora of loose plates and decals floating around Ebay, I'd be concerned that it was a Charvel Model 2 with a fake logo and SD plate.

I'd also want to see the numbers in the neck pocket, on the heel, and under the pickup and inside the trem cavity.

If you're serious I've got no problem doing it but I'm not interested in going through all that unless you're dead serious about buying it.

I know for a fact it's legit. He's the only owner and it was bought brand new at either Chuck Levin's or Veneman music in MD. I'm not sure which. He's still got his JCM800 halfstack he bought new in '86. :)

You wanted to know for sure what it is so you can sell it. I suggest you provide the good doctor with what he asked for if you would like to know what you can sell it for and what it is.

I wanted to know it's value based on what it is, not whether it's legit or not, I already know it's legit... If someone wants to seriously inquire about buying it I'll be more than happy to prove it.
