Used Epiphone Valve Jr?

Towards the end of 2014, I bough my first electric guitar, which was a Epiphone Les Paul 100. It came with a 30w solid state Marshall amplifier, which sounds okay. I'm now looking to upgrade my setup to get better tones with some valves (tubes). I discovered this used Valve Jr mini-stack for $200 NZD. The current owner has modded a Master Volume Knob, Input Boost and 3 way bright switch, as well as changing out some internal components to get a Vox sound (what I am interested in btw). I play a lot of stuff, mostly U2 type tones. Would this be appropriate?

It's not a bad place to start. For the most part a small amo like that won't get you into the same realm as U2. It would be close but with some noticeable differences.

Maybe what I'm looking for is too much, but something with a acceptable clean, good crispy breakup and a nice drive tone would be perfect Is there anything not too expensive in New Zealand that can do that? thanks

The AC4 seems really cool

I would get a 1x12 speaker cab with it at some point though.

There is a mini stack AC4TV for $300NZD that I think i'll go for.
