Used Kahlers?

Anyone have any used Kahler wangulators they'd like to sell? Doesn't have to be in perfect condition - flat mount, stud mount, you name it. Accessories are cool, too. I have clients looking for vintage gear for vintage guitars for prices that aren't so stupid. Personally, I have a penchant for the whammy arm with the tip that looks like a little chili pepper, and the short flat ones that went on the other side for palm usage. If you got stuff to unload, let's chat and make a deal.

The short bars are impossible to find cheaply and in good condition. I have been looking for a while.

My last 80’s Charvel Project had a broken Kahler. It took a couple of months to find parts but I eventually had good luck on Craigslist. It was out of state and I paid shipping—some sellers won’t ship on CL. Best of luck!

I didn't think many people used the short bars.

I had a couple country players back in the 80's used them for pedal steel licks, etc.
You can keep it pretty stealthy if you practice with it on the regular.

Yeah, I never tried one of the short bars, but I could totally see that. I just personally have never seen one on a guitar outside of the advertisement photos.

My Peavey Predator has a Kahler Flyer. Seems ok to me. What do you all mean by "short bars?"

For pedal steel type stuff, the best whammy bar I've used is a TransTrem, which keeps all 6 strings in tune as you push down or pull up. Like playing a D-shape G chord at the 7th fret, and pulling the bar up to a perfectly in tune A.

I know KahlerUSA is still alive out there...they are in Fullerton next to G&L. I got an email from them last week.

Oh, yes - still kicking. I get replacement parts from them.

They are great to deal with and will ship parts they do not list on the website. I was having a problem, a guy called me, diagnosed the issue, and sold me $12 in parts with free shipping to fix the issue. A lot cheaper than buying a new tremolo.

That is super generous, Orpheo. You still have my mailing address (I bought some Bill Lawrence pickups from you)?

Hi Chris, found the parts i was talking about some days ago. It came with a Les Paul that had a Kahler at one moment, but these parts were still in the case. Anything you can use?
