I've finally got the money to buy one sometime this summer if all goes as planned. But I just found out that they hiked the prices on this amp from 1200 to 1600. So will I still be able to find one on ebay for 5-600 like you used to be able to or are those days gone do you think? Should I be looking at spending more like 7-900 now?

Also, how are those Dr. Z Air Brake attenuators? Are they better than the MASS and/or Hot Plate?

the average going rate for a 1987x is right at $750.00, as for an attenuator get the Weber Mini Mass 50 watt...the mini dump load is a little different, it is less money, but not as good (and it's only $25.00 less!)...
