The NS-2 and some other pedals (TU-2 is one) have two 9V DC power sockets. You plug the lead from the power adapter into one socket then plug one of these (PCS20A daisy chain)....
... into the other power socket and use it to daisy chain the 9V DC power sockets of all your pedals together.
The patch cables (like the one you posted) go in the 1/4" jack sockets on the sides of the pedals and carry the guitar signal.
Be warned that this approach can produce quite a bit of hum, caused by ground loops. I don't really understand the science, but perhaps someone else can chime in on that.
I tried daisy-chaining from my TU-2 once, but in my rig it worked out too noisy and I ended up buying a power adapter with multiple 9V outlets.
