1) First off for those looking for one or another..killer deal going on at AMS (americanmusical.com) AD60VTX combos going for $499 on blowout (normally $799). Not sure if they have any left. I'd be all over it if I could

2) I've had a Groove Tube 12axC (chinese) in my AD15VT for over a month now. And have felt like I never was quite getting the tone I wanted and was able to get before. The amp was tighter, and had higher gain (not that I need it), but it was also darker. and compressed

I also felt like I was constantly fighting the amp...wayyyyyy too stiff.

Last night, I re-installed my stock EH tube on a whim..yeesh...what a difference...the amp really opened up, and its not so tight that I'm fighting the thing anymore..It's a little fizzier on the top, but it's got some sparkle and dynamics/harmonics/overtones back.

Anyhoo...anyone know where I can get replacement EHs? MF doesn't have them nor do my local shops.

Man, I wish I could swing that for the AD60VTX too. That is a killer deal.

Explain that to the Mrs. :laughing: Those same installments can go in to savings. No more new gear for me until we get a bigger house. The pups are an exception. I sold a few to get those.

Did they bring down the price of the footswitch? Those aren't cheap.

I've got a AD15VT... I loved it at first. The thing absolutley smoked! :smokin:


But I think I'm getting tired of that "digital" sound...

Looks like these are being discontinued...at least the AD1201vth. Some dealer is selling them as discontinued on the net, at any rate. I wonder what they'll replace them with?
