Van Zandt x David allen pickups x Dimarzio Area

Gentleman, I'm thinking about a strat for clean and bluesy sound specifically but that could handle a classic rock without much noise, so my first thought was the Area's, but I'm hearing so many good things about the other mentioned pickups that I have quite a doubt.

Zandt and allen have different versions for rock, blues, vintage, classics, etc...I had a lindy fralin blues special once in a strat, they sound great, but I wanna try something new.

Thanks for any input.

First, you have to know if you are looking for noiseless or not. The Areas are stacks, the D.Allens aren't. (Many comment how quiet Allens are, but a true single is a true single) There are a multitude of different options both ways, but from the Duncan camp either of these would get you there:

SSL-5/SSL-1/SSL-1
Classic Stack Custom/Classic Stack Plus/Classic Stack Plus

My last experience with Dimarzio stacks was the first Virtual Vintage line, but the Areas seem to get good reviews. In fact I'm thinking about trying the Injectors out.

I have a set of D Allen Strat Cats and they have a nice warm sound. I think I have a video somewhere of it. Here. If you want I could make some more video if you're interested. They are worth the money though.

Noise, even under pretty heavy gain, has never bothered me through my D. allens much at all. Very tolerable BUT Darkside is right, the noise is stil there. So they don't have MUCH noise but its not luke they don't have any. I love these strat pickups more than any other I've tried, cleans, gain and all. I use the Voodoo 69s, but the Echoes bridge set also piques my interest, I got mine before that set came out.

yeah that's the point, I don't know exactly what I want, stacked or true single.

Since I bought a YJM fury set to install in another strat, they are already quiet from what I've read, So I'm kind of more inclined to the D.Allens or Van Zandt.

Stratcats are the quietest set from David Allen.
Have a relative low output, are silky, with all the bells but round trebles.
A nice set.
Dovers are my preferred set. They do anything with the right attitude.
