Very disappointed with dimarzio:{

Picked up a 25th anniversary ibanez rg got the tone zone(bridge) and air norton in neck.Guitar is basswood, for some reason years ago I had this combo in a mahogany rg and it was great.But in this guitar it stinks my alder strat with the CC bridge and cool rail neck it way more powerful and sounds awesome, anyway I wish I got duncans.Anyone got suggestions on what I can get?

Yeah b/c every DiMarzio sounds like a TZ and a AN, and every Duncan sounds like a JB and a jazz.

The the pickups sound no good in your guitar, so it must be the pickup's fault? Right....

I've found the Tone Zone to soudn pretty average in basswood too. I threw the Tone Zone in alder and its amazing.

What specifically is your issue with the tone. The phrase "it stinks" is meaningless, and almost looks like trolling.

Definitely. If you wired black as the hot like Seymour Duncans you definitely won't be getting the correct tones! Red is hot with DiMarzio.
