vht classic 6 or 57 champ ri?

I've been wanting a single ended 6v6 type amp and I was saving up for a 57 champ ri. But then yesterday I came across a VHT Classic 6 for a really good price. The Champ is handwired, made in usa - the VHT is not. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Those Champ RI's are cool but there is NO WAY IN HELL I'd pay that kind of money for one of htem...I mean, come on a grand...no way!

If you want the champ go to one of the million and a half small builders out there and get a better amp, using better parts for 2/3's the price or less.

There are a lot of good amp builders around who'll do a tweed champ clone. A lot of em will make one into a head so you can use it with whatever cab, or they can make a pretty accurate-looking combo.
But if that sounds like a hassle then go for the fender. Their higher-end amps seem pretty solid from everything I've heard.
