(Video) Speaker Comparison: Brand New vs Broken In

Hi there! :)

I bought a brand new Creamback65 two months ago and decided to make this comparison. I recorded some samples when I received the speaker. And after 2 months using the speaker, I recorded same samples with same gear conditions/settings.

And I would say I used a lot this speakers in 2 months...

Nice. The clean sound doesn't seem to have changed much. The driven sound has got slightly less highs, but still clear. The mids are a bit raunchier, in a good way.

Thanks man.
In fact I noticed less difference than I was expecting... In a live situation I would not even have a clue about this difference...

Breaking in a speaker is like breaking in a baseball glove. The best way is to just play it.
If it's good, it'll be fine. But as it losens up it just gets better.

I couldn't hear a significant difference between the before and after in any of the examples.

But then, the Creamback is a speaker that sounds pretty "broken in" even when it's new. Perhaps there is a greater difference in some other speakers.

This is my new "preferred" speaker, man. I did some comparison to my Creamback75 and the 65 sounded much better (IMHO).
