Vint Rails or Lace Sensors?

Well I want to go noise-redueced, pole-less and vintagey strat...opinions on which gets you closer, the rails or Sensors?

Anyone use the Red-silver-blue set of Laces? Or are the Golds best for the vintage strat sound?

Re: Vint Rails or Lace Sensors?

Gold IS the vintage Strat -tone. I'd personally go with rails, if polepieces were no option. Otherwise, Classic Stack Plus is the way to go.

personally i think its all about the lace sensors. gold or hot gold. they sound amazing and very natural too, not like a ceramic pup at all imo

Re: Vint Rails or Lace Sensors?

Currently I have a Clapton Strat with the Gold Lace Sensors and a Strat Plus Ultra with the Lace Sensors in Blue (neck) Gold (middle) and a Red Dually in the Bridge. I also own a MIM Strat with Lace Holy Grails and a 73' Strat with stock pickups in the neck and middle and a Cool Rails in the bridge.

Go with the Lace Holy Grails. They're named that for a good reason.

I've spent the better part of a few years going from pickup to pickup to pickup to pickup on the MIM Strat looking for the perfect Strat pickup that had some versatility but didn't have the hum.

I can seal the thing shut now. The Holy Grails are it...done deal.

I'm restraining myself from buying another few sets for all my other axes.

OK, thanks for the inputs gents, sounds like sensors for this axe.
