Heres what went down last weekend in Dall

as....
I had a great time blazin' through all these stellar vintage and new 100 watters and my old friend Greg Martin stopped by on Sunday and let me blaze on his 58' Lester! I met Seymour's lovely assistant Marciella and she was very kind and gave me a "Toneologist" shirt and apron that I proudly wore! I hope next year I'll be able to shake Seymour's hand and show him some Duncan action on my Strats through all those amps!

Now that's a handsome backline!

All those Marshalls and you are only plugged into one of them?

There's something wrong with your amp to speaker cab ratio . . . send me a couple heads to fix it!

As cool as the rest sounds, THIS is what got me. That is my dream Les Paul. That's what a Les Paul is supposed to sound like!

I wonder how Gibson's replica compares, and if they used the Psychebilly pickups. Those are the only pups that should be used, but they're probably Burstbuckers. I saw a pic on Greg's Facebook page, but no details.

Honestly, my refinished 03' brazillian sounded better through those amps than his plank but that was due to the fact that his PAF's are quite a bit weaker in the output than my pups. It still sounded killer of course and it was an honor to sling it for a couple of licks!

I met Seymour's assistant Marciella in their booth and she told me to make sure and take a pic with the apron on so here it is.....
The guitar is my 69' maple board Strat that I had Seymour rewind some dead 56' bobbins for long ago in 79' when he used to have his little add in the back of Guitar Player! I also use his antiquities in my lefty 67' Strat and the other two 50's Strats have his vintage stack in the treble position. I wish he had been there to hear it through the wall but maybe next year!

A couple of more pics from the show...

The guy standing next to Greg Martin is my best friend Jack Hamilton who manned the speaker cord duty behind the wall and I couldn't have done it without him!
