Re: Vintage Fender

ahh really? i haven't plugged em up yet.

and i needed PA speakers anyway. plus i only payed 60 for the pedal, i guess its pretty fair. think i could get 60 if i ever resell?

Re: Vintage Fender

I think I have the amp that was originally paired with those speakers! It's a Fender PA100, Model CFA7310. Four channels (with volume, treble and bass for each), master volume and reverb. Four 12AX7s, two 12AT7s, four 6L6s. It was made in 1972. It actually makes a pretty decent guitar amp.

If I lived closer to you I would consider buying them off of you.

just out of curiosity, what would you consider a reasonable offer on the pair?
and how much did you get the head for?

Honestly I have no idea what they would be worth. It would be more of a nostalgia thing rather than a functional thing.

I bought the head 20+ years ago for $50 in non-working condition. It only has 1/4" mic inputs so it's utility as a PA is very limited.

Re: Vintage Fender

If they are loaded with 8 ohm CTS alnicos in good shape, the speakers are worth more than the cabs...

They have four 32 ohm speakers wired in parallel; I assume the Leslie side of the CBS operation designed them. Kinda par for the course for that era.

Those sure are cool looking cabs. Do you have anymore pics, can you make a new"baffle" in a 2x10 or a 2x12 configuration?
