Vintage Rails bridge oddity.

"Oddity" might not be the best word, but I just got my VR bridge from Matt, and noticed something that I hadn't considered before. The design of the VR sort of "compensates" for the Strat's bridge angle. The pole pieces end up in a, more or less, straight line. It'll probably be a week or so before I get mine installed, but has anyone else who uses a VR, or Duck, in the bridge, noticed a tone improvement over other designs?

Seems like a cool idea. I wonder if they planned that.

Edit: I should probably say "twang mellowing" rather than tone improvement.

I got a duckucker. Well I guess it tries to warm the guitar up and put each side slightly off to each other to get some "quack" in. Also perhaps makes the bridge in a strat slightly more useable yea?
