Vintage Rails SVR-1 internals

Hello!

this would probably had been answered somewhere but I can't find it, so I need your help please.
Last year I installed SVR-1 in middle and neck position, connected not to a 5way switch but each one goes to his own dpdt switch, for series-parallel wiring.
The problem is that in the "supposedly" parallel position is not working. Well... it is in a funny way: the pickup only "picks up" the last 3 vibrating string (EAD). The first ones (GBE) aren't!
Well.... I didn't want to bother much at the time, just wanted to play, but now I decided I had to understand what the hell was going on.

The first thing that occured to me is that there are 2 coils, one for the upper strings and another for lower strings (different from a regular HB).
Then I read this: Vintage Rails use a unique split-rail, twin-coil design and parallel wiring to achieve vintage single-coil tone without hum.

This confused me.
What does it mean internal "parallel wiring"? I mean, there are 4 conductors on the pickup, so 2x start/finish of each coil. To achieve parallel just connect both starts to signal path and both finish to ground, and that's what this schematic suggests: (http://www.seymourduncan.com/images/products/electric/stratocaster/501015-130.pdf).
No need for "internally parallel wiring"..right?

Also, there's only this schematic for the correct wiring of this pickups , but there are no info on how to get series-parallel wiring with these.

Can you help me out with the internals of the pickup so I could understand all this?

Thanks a lot!

PS: sorry for my not-so-good spelling. English is not my native language... hope you understand all I wrote. If not I will try my best to clarify things. Thanks!

Re: Vintage Rails SVR-1 internals

I am sorry your question did not get any response. I am looking into series wiring for the SVR myself, and haven't found any info. If I find anything, I will repost here.
Good luck to us all :-)
