Vintage rails

Was wondering what year did vintage rails come out? I've had mine in my 94 Strat since I got the guitar and mine are made differently than today's pup's. Thanks in advance.

welcome to the forum! not sure what year they were introduced but a few years ago the changed the construction. still basically the same pup just looks different

You know . . . that might be something that would be interesting to add to the pickups description page. The "history" paragraph, if you will. When it was introduced. Why it was created. What was the motivation. That kinda thang.

Love my VR. Knowing the history would be cool.
