Vintage Tele Saddles

Re: Vintage Tele Saddles

If you want standard non conpensated the Duncan Antiquity saddles are really hard to beat but they cost a pretty penny, for compensated saddles the Callahams are nice, IMHO the Glendale saddles are nicer but those pretty costly too, I actually use the plain old Stew-Mac saddles...they are compensated, un polished and full size solid brass and cost like 12 or so bucks a set...I love them!

Re: Vintage Tele Saddles

I've got the compensated set from Stew-Mac as well. As stated, they are solid brass and quite affordable.

Re: Vintage Tele Saddles

the fender ones have been great for me too. Didn't really care for the compensated saddles I tried. I might try bud's saddles one day.

Or, you might just want to swap the whole bridge. I highly recommend the Wilkinson:

A mere 30 bucks at GuitarFetish.com.

+1. I'm not sure how much it appeals to people looking for something vintage styled, but it still has brass saddles, and it's a well made bridge. I'd definitely recommend that to just about anyone.

Re: Vintage Tele Saddles

I put the Stew Mac compensated on my Hwy 1 Tele. Work great, don't cost much!

Nice tone improvement over the Fender stock saddles on that particular gtr.
