Vintage Trem Arm Question

I have a vintage trem bridge on my Godin. The only problem I have with it is that when I screw it in tight it is not in the spot that I want it. When looking down at it in the playing position it points to around 2 o'clock. I want it at around 11 o'clock. How can I get the trem arm to be fully screwed in and get it into the position I want it. Any ideas.

Re: Vintage Trem Arm Question

teflon tape at the top of the threads

tighten it
not there?

lower tape
repeat
Edit
or drop a BB the hole before screwing the arm in

whatever will make it stop sooner

Re: Vintage Trem Arm Question

So I can adjust the placement of the teflon tape in order to get it into the position that I want. Thank you very much.

Re: Vintage Trem Arm Question

Everyone needs a roll of duct tape and teflon tape in their home. :)
