Vocal effects pedals?

I'm interested in getting a reasonably priced vocal effects pedal. I do not need massive processing power, 4-part harmonies, auto-tuning, etc.

I'm looking for basic reverbs and simple delay. The only reason I'm considering the pedal approach is because we often run our own sound, and I'd like to be able to switch it off for when I speak.

It would be nice to have a couple of programmable presets, but not mandatory. I'm usually switching enough stuff when I play/sing, so I don't want to have to stop between songs and manually change settings.

TC Electronics has a whole line that you can get for under $100 used. Mix and match type stuff.

the Mic Mechanic from TC Helicon does what you want. it's stomp sized, has verb,delay and pitch correction on it.

Footprint is a secondary concern. I simply need foot switchable.

Vocalist Live3 is very nice, but only has 2 part harmony.
Vocalist Live 5 has 4 part harmony, but cost more.

Live setting either works well.

The TC Helicon stuff is really cool, and definitely does what you're asking.

well you get what you pay for. But if all you really need is a verbzilla, then by all means just use that :banana: no need in using a sledgehammer for a tiny nail. but aint that sledgehammer kewel:

I really like the voicelive play. My singer has a voicelive (original) and the play has a much, much better menu and interface. I'm sure the newer voicelive units have refined it even more. Watch a couple of the online videos about programming the units and go with the one that you like best. The single purpose boxes like the mic mechanic or voicetone series are nice but do not offer all of the features that you want on one package.

ya vl3 had some nice processing improvements over vl2; awesome how technology keeps improving.

I am not that interested in the harmonizing qualities, as it does not sound real enough for recording and using it live is blasphemy lolerz!!!

If I was going to drop a grand on equipment, it'd be a digital mixer. I just need some basic effects.

Harmonizing might be fun for solo practice, though.

I guess I'll wait a couple of months and buy the VL Play new. I've seen it for $225.

consider buying when 15% off sale during christmas at MF or GC or buying a GC card that gives %10 off

also consider a used voicelive 2; I dont like buying used electronic gear though cause elctronics can get messed up sometimez
