My wife gave me an Ernie Ball VP Jr. for my birthday yesterday (based on very specific hints...) to replace the Morley "Little Alligator".
The Morley appealed to me originally mostly because of the adjustable "minimum volume" control, but the abrupt taper made it more of a big, clumsy boost switch than anything else.
The E.B. is rock solid and has a very natural volume sweep - really easy to get what I wanted within 5 minutes of fooling around with it. Tuner out is a plus too.
In fairness to Morley, their tech support was very friendly and they even took the pedal back to make sure it was up to spec at no charge (other than shipping to them). Also, their "Pro Series" volume pedal has an analogue taper and might be what I should have bought in the first place.
Bottom line - thanks to the guys who recommended the E.B. a while ago when I was bitching about the Little Alligator.
