Vox AC-30 VR solid state valve reactor

Anyone checked these out yet? The new solid state AC-30 and AC-15, with the same 12AX7 valve reactor power section the modelers have.

For $500, these seem pretty cool. As close to authentic as they can get the clean channel, then a 2 mode OD channel....for crunch and metal.
I like that they look like the real deal from the front.

Vox seems to be consistently coming out with good products, whether these amps are your cup of tea or not. Personally, I think they'd be cool to use at home, then add it to your tube amp for a stereo setup in a live situation.....no tube issues to worry about. They're priced right new, but imagine what the used prices will be like in a year or so.

Sorry about the German on the first one, but at least the demo is decent.

They seem pretty cool Ac30 tone on a budget (not a bad idea at all!)

I've heard the 15 while I was away on my honeymoon- Guy playing through it was pretty good, and tone was pretty good too. Not the real deal of course, but more versatile- for the $ I thought it was def worth it.

I've heard the musikschmidt demos as well, and the 15 sounds quite a bit better to my ears, the 30 sounds flat comparitively.
