Wah Pedal

Re: Wah Pedal

I have a brand-new Crybaby 535Q that I just got... traded in my Crybaby Classic for it...

My 535Q's a little different though. You know how those Crybaby Classics have Fasels in them? Well I had a 535Q specially ordered from Dunlop with a Fasel in it! It sounds noticably better than the regular 535Q's and it's the same price, not as expensive as the Dimebag ones are. It's the best sounding wah I've used yet, and I can still say that after having tried the Fulltone ones.

I like the lower ranges of it, where it gets that pronounced vocal "gulp" sound.

Re: Wah Pedal

i used to have a crybaby original and i loved it. but when i got my pod floorboard, i really liked the wah that came on there. I am told that this is a lot like a vox wah, and i am really impressed with the range it has. It can do much deeper tone shifts than my crybaby could. It can handle my rock/metal soloing as well as my funky raggae rhythems.

Re: Wah Pedal

All my CryBabys are ancient. I guess you could say they're " Played In ". After all these years, nothing else sounds right compared to them. Guess I'm just so used to hearing them. :)

that's a cool idea, B!

I usually play my Teese, but I have a 535 ... I might just have to try a Fasel in it! :)

You can order it thru your local music dealer if they carry Dunlop stuff.

Like I said it's noticably different from the regular 535Q. The regular 535Q is big on options but is OK tone-wise. These Fasel-loaded ones have GREAT tone and that increases the differences and distinctions between the range settings.

Re: Wah Pedal

I like the Dunlop GCB-95. It's plain and simple, and doesn't cost alot.

I'm thinking about switching it for a 95Q to get the extra features.

Re: Wah Pedal

I have a Morley Bad Horsie2

I love this wah, mainly because when i take my foot off it, it turns off. And it's got a noiseless operation. No scratching pots, or annoying stomp buttons to hit to get it on/off...
