Wah is the only pedal I use and it's between the axe and amp, not in the effects loop. :22:

There's not necessarily a "right" answer but most folks have their wahs as the first thing after the guitar in the signal chain. Most wahs are sensitive to input impedance and having a low impedance input signal (as you'll have post-distortion) often leads to a disappointing effect.
