Wah-wah...

Okie people, i've been wondering this for a while..a few questions here...I own the Boss GT8, and whenever i use the wah-wah...it goes a bit thin, with lots of treble...Do seperate wah-wah pedals do this? and how come it happens? And are seperate wah-wah pedals better than a wah-wah in a multi-effects processor? I've never tried one seperately :-). Let me know what you think! Thank you,

Alex

Re: Wah-wah...

Separate wah pedals are definitely better than one on modeling pedal boards. Separate pedals I'm your talking about something like a vox or dunlop wah pedals. When using my wah pedal I don't notice any thinning in tone expect when I have toe down all the way.

Re: Wah-wah...

get yourself a real wah pedal! my crybaby from hell has a knob on it that controls the frequencies in the wah, and can get rid of that trebly sound.

Re: Wah-wah...

Go and find a used Vox v847 they are such nice wah's very vocal sounding no thinning of sound. Sound alot like hendrix. I much prefer them over crybabys.

And then have it tweaked out to a wah made in heaven! :13:

:laugh2: It's no Vox 847 or Fulltone Clyde but it gets the job done!

The stock 847 is just ok stock....The Fulltone wah is my favorite stock boutique wah.Very vocal and has the "right" sweep...It's only downfall is it's higher and clumbsier feel....I Like the feel, looks, and mechanical movements of the 847 better and that's why I mod my own 847 and 848 Vox wahs...I have 2 847s and 1 848 these days...
