Wailing reverby stock JB

found a little project i was experimenting with late 2009 right when i got the JB, before i changed the magnet to A8 so this is stock A5.
just shows how wailing that lead tone can be. the project production isnt great it was just a stepping stone to other things. but i love this little track alot, very uplifting and almost patriotic sounding!
with a marshall valvestate vs100..blah blah...:)

and for the record imo the stock A5 made the pickup alot clearer and pro sounding. ive finally realized A8 magnets are like a multiband compressor bringing up all the inbetween airy freqz that kinda ruin the depth and punch of a pickup, that is, if the pickup isnt designed for an A8. just imo :)
i actually kinda want to get another JB and just run with it again.

cheers!

Cool. Somebody who LIKES the JB as nature intended it. :approve:

The JB owns man - nice clip.

I am in the process of going back to the JB, after having tried all the so-called "better" JB's over the last few years. Nothing beats the original....

THAT guitar sounds wicked, and the composition is great. I would love to hear where you're going to go with it. I love the JB in a Les Paul. In my songs, the song We're Gonna Groove the solos were done with a 73 LP Deluxe that had a bridge JB. I love the sound of that pickup.

Re: Wailing reverby stock JB

JB is better than i thought, sometimes the mind just doesnt give things a proper go and sometimes we dont have the time to either...i didnt have the time, what i remember most about having the JB is switching to the JB8 and not necessarily liking the sounds, too many upper mids.. some from that point i kept moving, C8 is great, but i miss the stock JB.

Great clip. The stock JB is perfect for me. Had an A8 mag in a Custom and I couldn't get it out of the pickup fast enough.
