Do they all have the neck pickup placed so awkwardly?

I know for sure that they made at least one TV Yellow 357 with two P-90s. I ordered it in the later '80s from "Sam Moss Guitars" in Winston-Salem NC. I hated it so another customer bought it.
I'll try to find out who bought it......
