Off topic, but I am considering a sx jazz. Other than the hardware and pickups/wiring how do you like it? Are they worth 120.00 or so?

Definitely worth the $120. I remember wanting a SX Jazz bass but they didn't have them with maple fretboards back then. I had to buy a SX Precision as well to swap necks (since Kurt didn't offer this or would do this for me). I wound up keeping both as I didn't want to sell the Precision with Jazz neck either.

yeah its well worth the $120. ive had mine (p-bass with maple board)for more than 4 years, and im just now finally looking into upgrades. mostly, im just looking to upgrade the bridge. but it couldnt hurt to have an extra P pickup laying around, as the spector is P-J so i can swap in between both basses.
im still fighting off the temptation to buy an SX 5-string jazz. it looks pretty awesome...
